The Dedication of the new Community Center at the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company was held on Sunday April 25, 2010. An open house followed
and featured tours of the magnificent new Community Center banquet facility.
At 3 p.m. a cornerstone ceremony was held.
Following the cornerstone ceremony, the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company's new tanker truck was dedicated and placed into service. The purchase of the tanker was made possible through a Homeland Security grant to the fire service.

Pat spent her life with a family that served the community, as members of
The Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co.

Her Father, George E. Young, has almost 60 years of service.
Brother, "Ed" Young, is a life member.
Pat's husband, Terry, is still active with 41 years of service.
And, her Mother, Avalon, is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

The newest addition to the Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. family.... Kayleigh Michelle Denston was born on June 24th at 3:34 p.m. weighing in at 8 pounds and 7 ounces! Kayleigh is the daughter of PCVFC Lt. Eric and wife Amy Denston. She is also the niece of firefighter Brian Denston, second cousin to firefighter Matthew Gladding, and a 'great' niece of Chief Dicky Gladding.

THE POCOMOKE CITY VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY HAS A NEW HOME..... 1410 MARKET STREET (THE FORMER MEATLAND/DRUG FAIR SHOPPING CENTER).

General Contractor: Mervin L.Blades & Son
Financed by: Taylor Bank

Visible work began on the new Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. Fire Station on Feb. 19, 2007. We moved into the new facility on March 8, 2008. The dedication was April 27, 2008.

The Community Center / Banquet Hall has been completed. The first official function was the Firemen's Banquet on Jan. 30, 2010.
