New Rescue Pumper

Our new "Rescue 1" is a 2017 Pierce PUC rescue engine built on an Arrow XT chassis. The truck is equipped to the engine company and rescue truck requirements as set forth by Worcester County; standards which closely follow NFPA recommendations. As a rescue engine, the truck will have fire suppression / pumping capabilities with a 750 gallon tank, 1500 gpm pump, and hose and appliances on board. The truck also carries a compliment of the latest generation Holmatro hydraulic rescue tools for vehicle and machinery extrication and carries stabilization / shoring and heavy lifting equipment. In addition to vehicle and machinery rescue, the truck has allowed us to expand our rescue capabilities in other areas and will also carry an increase in water and rope rescue equipment. This truck replaces a 1989 International / Saulsbury rescue truck.
