UPDATE: Boat Bash Going Virtual 7/3!

Due to the continued uncertainty of when large scale events will again be allowed, the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company has decided to conduct its 4th Annual Boat and Cash Bash as an on-line virtual event. The event will be streamed live on Friday, July 3 beginning at 6 PM.

All cash prizes including eighteen (18) $250 prizes and one (1) $1000 prize will be given away along with the 18-foot Lookout Skiff with 60 horsepower Suzuki motor and trailer.

Since our patrons will not be able to enjoy the food, refreshments and entertainment this year, the fire company will be adding a bonus $100 cash prize for each cash prize drawn. That’s an additional nineteen (19) cash prizes or $1900 in bonus cash that will be given away. Tickets are still available for the event at poocomokefire.com, First Shore Federal on Market St, or from the firefighters. Ticket sales will end on July 1.

And as a thank you for your continued support, all those who purchased tickets for this year’s event will enjoy a deep discount on tickets for next year’s event. 2021 tickets will be offered to our 2020 event ticket purchasers at four (4) for $100! That’s a $60 savings on single ticket prizes.

Unfortunately, this is not the type of event that we expected when we first started selling tickets. Therefore, the fire company understands if someone would like a refund on their ticket purchase. If so requested, the fire company will refund the cost of the ticket(s), including any fees, to the purchaser. A refund voids the ticket and negates all claims to any prizes. To request a refund, go to www.pocomokefire.com and click on the “Contact Us” link. Indicate that you wish a refund in the “Comment” box and include your name, address and ticket number(s). Also indicate if you purchased the ticket(s) through PayPal. If so, we will credit your PayPal Account. If you paid by cash or check, we will process a check for the refund. All refund requests must be received by the fire company by June 26, 2020.

Our annual Boat and Cash Bash has become the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company’s largest fundraiser. We sincerely thank you as well as our sponsors for your continued support of this event. We all look forward to the day when we can again gather and celebrate as a community. In the meantime, we hope you join us for our “virtual” Boat and Cash Bash on Friday, July 3 at 6 PM. Please check our website at www.pocomokefire.com or our Face Book page to learn how to watch the event.
We wish you well and hope you continue to stay safe and healthy!!!
