The Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire company that was formally founded in 1888, which provides primary fire, rescue, and fire prevention services to the citizens of Pocomoke City and the surrounding unincorporated areas of southern Worcester and southern Somerset counties.
The company maintains a fleet of apparatus, including an engine, tower ladder, rescue engine, tanker, brush truck, rescue boat, high-water rescue vehicle, and several utility and incident command vehicles.
At full strength, the department retains a diverse roster of approximately 60 dedicated individuals of various backgrounds and professions.
The PCVFC assists in mitigating approximately 350 fire, rescue, and public service incidents annually, responding from our modern 7-bay fire station, which opened in 2008.
