Rescue Boat 1 is a 20-foot North River aluminum rescue boat, formerly operated by the United States Coast Guard, and is purpose-built for marine rescue and emergency response in local waterways. Powered by twin 50-horsepower engines, the vessel provides reliable performance, maneuverability, and redundancy for operations in a variety of water and weather conditions.
The boat is equipped with essential navigation aids, marine and fire radios, and scene lighting, allowing for safe operations during both day and night responses. Rescue Boat 1 is designed to transport rescue personnel and assist boaters or watercraft in distress, supporting search, rescue, and recovery missions.
