Command 1 (2010s)
Former Command 1 – 1994 Ford Bronco
Former Command 1 was a 1994 Ford Bronco that served the department in a command and support role. The vehicle was acquired from the Maryland State Highway Administration, providing a capable and versatile platform for command response and incident support.
Configured to support incident command operations, the Bronco allowed officers to respond quickly, conduct scene size-ups, and coordinate operations at emergency incidents. Its four-wheel-drive capability also made it useful during adverse weather conditions and off-road responses.
Former Command 1 remained in service until 2011, when it was retired as newer command vehicles were placed into service. Although modest in size, the unit played an important role in supporting command functions during a period of transition and growth within the department.
