On 6/24/25 at 3:30 PM, the Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. was alerted to assist Accomack County with a motor vehicle crash with entrapment at the Maryland/Virginia line. Rescue 1 arrived to find a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle in the roadway and another vehicle off the roadway. The crew from Rescue 1, along with Accomack County personnel, were able to quickly extricate the driver who was pinned in the vehicle. Engine 102 and Command 1 responded to Newtown Park and established a landing zone for MSP Trooper 4. Oak Hall Rescue transported the extricated driver to the landing zone for transport. Chief D. Grant (VA Chief 4) had command of the Crash, and Lt. T. Cowger had command of the landing zone.
