On 3/7/26 at 10:00 AM, The Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. conducted a live fire training exercise on a 2-story chicken house on Payne Rd. Pocomoke was assisted by Station 200 (Stockton) and Station 300 (Girdletree) from Worcester County; Station 3 (Marion) from Somerset Co; and Station 1 (New Church), Station 2 (Greenbackville), and Station 4 (Atlantic) from Accomack County. Crews successfully burned down two derelict chicken houses, while protecting neighboring buildings and utility lines. Additional images/video in comments.
