It is with deep regret that the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Co. announces the passing of Gold Badge Member Terry Sommers, who answered his last alarm on August 26, 2026.
Terry joined the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Co. in February 1969 as a Firefighter. After many years of active service, Terry transitioned to Gold Badge Membership (#113) and later became a Life Member. During his years with the company, Terry served as President, served on various committees, and was involved in pivotal decisions that helped shape the direction of the Fire Company.
We are grateful for Terry’s many years of dedicated service to the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Co. and the community we serve. His contributions and service will forever remain a part of the history and legacy of our company.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Somers family, his friends, and all who knew him during this difficult time.
