Worcester Co., MD - On September 26, 2026, at 1:43 a.m., the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for an electrical hazard on Cedar Street in the area of the Worcester County Health Department.
Command 1 and Engine 102 responded along with Pocomoke City EMS. Units arrived to find a large tree that had fallen onto power lines, causing one of the lines to break and completely blocking the roadway.
Crews secured the area and closed the roadway due to the electrical hazard. Delmarva Power responded to assess the damage and begin work to safely resolve the hazard.
