On 2/21/21 at 4:34 pm, the PCVFC responded to the 800 block of Market Street for a reported residential structure fire. Initial reports indicated a working fire in the kitchen of the residence. 100 PM 3 and Command 1 arrived to find nothing evident from the exterior of a 2 story house. Engine 103’s crew made contact with the resident who advised there had been a fire in the kitchen that he had been able to extinguish. Crews overhauled the kitchen area and extinguished the remaining hot spots. One patient was transported to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional and a second was treated and released on scene. Mutual aid companies were alerted initially.  However, those units were canceled and the incident was held to 100 fire units. This incident is being investigated by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office.
