On 12/8/24 @ 4:44 am, Tower 1 responded to assist Accomack County units with a working fire at the Tyson Foods Rendering Plant in Temperanceville. Tower 1 responded with a crew of 4 and was tasked with checking the roof for extension with a focus on the back side of the building. Crews found hot spots along the exterior wall and roof. Tower 1, New Church, and Parksley personnel overhauled the building and extinguished any remaining fire. Tower 1 crew operated for approximately two hours assisting units on scene.
