On 7/17/25 at 9:44 AM, the Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. responded to a motor vehicle crash on SB Ocean Hwy near Dividing Creek Rd. Initial reports indicated a single vehicle left the roadway striking a light pole and brick welcome sign. Units arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway with significant damage and entrapment. Crews worked to quickly extricate the driver by removing the driver's side doors and the roof. Pocomoke City Emergency Medical Services provided initial patient care with transport provided by MSP, Trooper 4. Chief Denston had command. MSP Princess Anne handled the crash investigation.
