Command 1-2 – Chevrolet Caprice (c. 1992)

Command 1-2 was a Chevrolet Caprice, believed to be a 1992 model, that served the department in a command and support role during the early to mid-2000s. The vehicle was acquired from the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company, reflecting continued cooperation and resource sharing between neighboring departments.

The vehicle was primarily assigned to and operated by the Assistant Chief, providing a dedicated response vehicle for incident command support, scene size-up, and coordination at emergency incidents. Its maneuverability made it well-suited for in-town responses and roadway incidents.

Although modest in size compared to later command vehicles, Command 1-2 played an important role in supporting incident management and leadership presence during its years of service.
