A lightning strike during a thunderstorm struck this dewlling that is located on Cypress Rd. - Pocomoke City. The lightning strike did damage to the chimney and caused a fire in the attic. Fire companies from Stockton, New Church, Girdletree and Snow Hill assisted. There were no injuries. The Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office investigated.
