Motor vehicle collision involving building
Tuesday, September 7, 2021

On 9/7/21 at 1:58 am, the PCVFC responded to the 1500 block of Ocean Highway for a single vehicle crash. Units arrived to find that a single vehicle crashed into the front overhang of a commercial building. The vehicle is believed to have been traveling southbound in the northbound lane on Route 13. To avoid a collision with another vehicle, the driver left the roadway striking a telephone pole. The vehicle then traveled across the parking lot crashing into two pillars on the front overhang of a small strip mall.

The telephone pole was severed in two separate locations resulting in low hanging wires. During the collision, the vehicle lost its front left tire which catapulted and struck the front glass/building located in the strip mall. The two occupants of the vehicle were not injured and refused treatment by Pocomoke City Emergency Medical Services. Delmarva Power responded to replace the broken pole. This crash is being investigated by Pocomoke City Police Dept.
