Early Morning Crash Severs Utility Pole
Saturday, November 22, 2025

On 11/22/25 at 12:49 AM, the Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Old Snow Hill Rd. Rescue 1 arrived and found a single-vehicle crash with a telephone pole cut in half, with wires down, and the pole on top of the vehicle. The driver self-extricated prior to units arriving on-scene. The driver was evaluated by Pocomoke City Emergency Medical Services and declined transport. Delmarva Power responded and was able to remove the wires from the roadway prior to beginning the process of replacing the pole and restoring power. The roadway was shut down until 2:40 AM. Lt. T. Cowger had command.
