Trees across the roadway. Rt. 113.
Friday, July 28, 2017

The call came in as an electrical hazard, 2373 Worcester Hwy. (Rt. 113). Upon arriving firefighters found limbs from several trees across the roadway, a limb resting on the utility wires and a utility pole broken at ground level.....oh yes....and a long line of Southbound traffic at a standstill. The crew on Pocomoke engine 102, The Chief, and 2 fire police went to work clearing the roadway....in the wind and rain. Soon traffic was flowing normally. It appeared that it was high winds that caused the damage to several trees, all of which were in a relatively small area. There were no injuries.
