Crash Involving Camper
Saturday, August 14, 2021

On 8/14/21 at 1:52 pm, the PCVFC responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 1500 block of Ocean Highway. Units arrived to find a camper with heavy rear-end damage and a passenger car into the guardrail. Crews worked to clear the roadway of debris to restore the flow of traffic. While operating on-scene, the PCVFC was alerted for a second call for a spill in the 1000 block of Ocean Highway.
Rescue 1 responded to find chicken waste spilled in the middle of the highway. Tanker 1 responded to wash down the area. The Maryland State Highway Administration was notified and responded to clean up the remaining waste. Traffic was diverted for an extended period while crews cleaned up. All patients refused treatment by Pocomoke City Emergency Medical Services. Both incidents are being investigated by Pocomoke City Police Dept.
